Rider carving a berm on an 801 dirt jump bike in the desert

26" or 27.5" Frames

Two frames to choose from: Choose the 26" for the utmost in nimble flickability on dirt jumps, or the 801 27.5" for extra stability and versatility on pump tracks and dual slalom courses. (It’s still no slouch while jumping!)

Evolved Geometry

Quickly learn new skills and develop a deeper sense of bike control with geometry that supports your progression. The 801 26" hits a sweet spot for tackling dirt jump lines. The 801 27.5" helps riders feel locked in on pump tracks or dual slalom courses.

Strength and Durability

Robust aluminum frame built to take a beating. The 801 is constructed of 6061-T6 aluminum alloy for high strength in a lightweight, robust package. We tested the frame to the same impact standards as our Superior Peak DH bike that has survived Red Bull Rampage. Ride confidently.

Derailleur Compatible

801 27.5" comes with a derailleur hanger and cable routing for a drivetrain. Drivetrain capability provides gear optimization and the ability to shift to an easier gear for climbing back to the start of a dirt jump line or to a harder gear before you drop in.

Press reviews

Serious performance. Straightforward value.

Impressive quality for its price tag and solid on-trail performance to go with it.

An extensive fit process before sending the bike so that it’s ready to rock.

Specs and setup for your first ride and beyond. Every bike comes with support from our team.

Full support page
  1. 01 Unbox and check contents

Remove packaging foam and zip-ties. Confirm the small-parts box has pedals, thru-axle and multitool.

  2. 02 Install the handlebar

Center the bar, set roll, and tighten faceplate bolts evenly in a cross pattern.

  3. 03 Fit the front wheel

Seat the rotor between the pads, insert the thru-axle from the non-drive side and close to spec.

  4. 04 Set saddle height

With the dropper fully extended, set height so your knee is slightly bent at the bottom of the stroke.

  5. 05 Install pedals

Grease threads. The left pedal is reverse-threaded.

  6. 06 Set suspension and tires

Set sag for your weight using your fork and shock manuals, then check tire pressure against the sidewall range.

Common questions

Still deciding? Our team rides these bikes and can help you find the right setup.

Who is this bike for?

The 801 is our dirt jumping, slalom racing, pump track slashing bike built to handle air time and flowy berms. What about skills training? The 801 is the perfect bike to improve your technique on, whether you are an avid XC enthusiast or enduro racer.

Where did the name come from?

801 is a Utah phone number area code we used to name our first dirt jumper that was made of steel. This was in memory of the Geneva Steel Mill that operated from December 1944 to November 2001. It was located just 2 miles from our headquarters and was a local economic driver in the area for years.

Do you offer financing?

Yes, at checkout there are several options available for financing.

How long will it take to arrive?

Estimated lead times are listed under each model's size in the bike builder. Times may vary a little based on current conditions, frame size, color, and availability.

What is the maximum tire clearance?

26in x 2.4in or 27.5in x 2.4in. Front tire: per fork manufacturer.

Can the 801 be set up tubeless? What are the advantages of a tubeless setup?

Yes; however, many dirt jump riders prefer to run tubes to allow for higher psi. Tubeless valves and sealant may be added to your order under Recommended Accessories in the shopping cart. The advantages of a tubeless setup are increased flat protection from punctures and the ability to run a lower tire pressure for increased comfort and traction.

What is the bottom bracket spec used on the 801?

73mm BSA English Thread.

How can I know I am getting the right size?

The 801 is a one-size-fits-most bike.

What about service?

You can work directly with us, one of our recommended shops, or work through your local shop.

What is the warranty?

Each frame comes with a Lifetime Warranty. Ari-branded frames come with a transferable warranty as well.

What is the guarantee?
How does transferable warranty on Ari bikes work?

Ari-branded frames come with a transferable frame warranty available to the second owner. The second owner can receive a one-year frame warranty from the date they purchase the bike from the original owner. Warranty only transfers once. All Ari bikes must have the transfer documented from the original owner to the new owner here in order to qualify for a transferable warranty.
