Two road cyclists riding toward the camera on a tree-lined road

The Empire is the do-it-all road bike.

Efficient Power Transfer Empire has evolved from our previous gen road bike. Experience a 20.5% better head tube lateral stiffness allowing more confident cornering and better sprinting power. Ride with 15.3% more efficient rear wheel power transfer and a 3% stiffer bottom bracket. Efficiency = Power.

Monoform™ construction

Monoform™ technology uses a true one-piece carbon molding process to create a frame without the traditional bonded joints found in most carbon bikes. This reduces weak points and excess material, resulting in a frame that is lighter, stronger, and more consistent.

An Adaptable Ride

Get tires up to 32c, which means more comfortable rides on all road conditions, and up to 3 cages in the front triangle for more hydration or your tool kit.

Strength through technology.

By using Monoform™ construction – a true 1-piece mold – there is no bonding, no dead spots, and no frame alignment issues. Empire even passes XC mountain bike standards in testing.

Editor’s Choice: Road Bike

As bikes get more and more complicated, I gravitate towards brands that execute the delivery well. Greg Kopecky’s Editor’s Choice road bike for 2019 was the Empire SL.

Light blue Ari Empire road bike standing in a lavender field under a cloudy sky

Frame

One piece of carbon, built to go the distance.

The Empire frame is molded as a single piece of carbon with Monoform™ construction, so there are no bonded joints and no excess material. A stiffer head tube gives you sharp handling and sprint response, while vertically flexing seat stays and a 27.2mm seatpost take the edge off rough pavement. With room for 32c tires, it is as happy on broken back roads as it is on fresh tarmac.

−250g
Empire ships with Ari Custom Setup—size and cockpit dialed before it leaves. Lifetime frame warranty means you can focus on riding.
All-Day Comfort
Comfortable tuning and geometry for hours in the saddle. Look forward to long rides again.

Frame

If you're the type of rider who demands the best

Because of Monoform™ construction, vertically flexing seat stays, and 27.2mm seat posts, high-speed road vibration is significantly reduced, making it the most comfortable road bike you’ll ride.

Chassis

Built tough. Finished thoughtfully.

Custom-molded protection quiets chain slap and shields high-impact areas. UDH compatibility simplifies service, while the epoxy-infused finish is made to resist chips and scratches.

Press reviews

Serious performance. Straightforward value.

Impressive quality for its price tag and solid on-trail performance to go with it.

An extensive fit process before sending the bike so that it’s ready to rock.

A lot of value without resorting to common cost-cutting measures.

1500 mile update

I reviewed this bike earlier in my journey and I am happy to report that after 1500 miles I have enjoyed every mile and have not had any problems. Climbs are great, and on the flats it's pretty fast at least for me. I brought it to my local bike shop which is a Trek shop, and the techs were looking it over. Nobody could give me any substantive reason why a Trek bike that cost thousands more was better than my Empire Elite. Couldn't be happier.

The ARI Empire: Premium Craftsmanship and Unmatched Service—My Best Bike Ever

As an experienced cyclist, I can confidently say the ARI Empire is the best road bike I’ve ever owned. The Monoform™ CleanCast™ carbon frame delivers a ride that’s smooth, fast, and comfortable for long miles. Every detail, from the internal brake routing to the sturdy thru axles, demonstrates ARI’s commitment to quality and performance.

What truly makes ARI stand out is their customer service. I flew to Utah to visit their facility and was blown away by the team’s knowledge, warmth, and genuine passion for cycling. They made sure my bike fit perfectly and answered every question with care—a level of service I’ve never experienced elsewhere.

The Empire’s build is top-notch: Shimano Tiagra shifting, FSA crankset, Alex ATD500 wheels, and Maxxis 28c tubeless tires make for a reliable and confidence-inspiring ride. Even the Tektro MD-C550 mechanical disc brakes perform consistently and are easy to maintain.

If you’re looking for a high-performance endurance bike and a company that truly cares, ARI is the clear choice. Their bikes and service are simply in a league of their own. Highly recommended!

5 stars

I’ve put about 300 miles on my new Empire Elite and I couldn’t be happier. The set up is perfect for hilly New Hampshire. And the light carbon components are a blessing going up those hills. All this with electronic shifting and a power meter for a super low price. I don’t know why anyone would pay more. This bike is a joy to ride.

Empire Sport

I recently received my Empire Sport. I ordered this to mix up my ultra marathon training. I am 6'1" and have stayed away from cycling due to never being able to get comfortable on a bike. There was always neck pain or lower back pain on any bike that I tried. I wanted a decent bike, but for training and not racing, I did not want or feel that I needed to spend money on a very high end bike. After my first ride, I am very impressed. This bike is comfortable, and I even extended my first "test" ride because it felt so good. It feels like way more than an entry level bike. It is nice. Way better than a "decent" bike. It feels fast and smooth. All components work well. This is by far a much nicer bike than anything I have ever ridden. It has me considering signing up for a race or two...
